The Swinging of the Pendulum

Dear Team:

The media is preparing the American people for war and the escalation of the U.S. government's rhetoric indicates that war maybe only days away....

It's important to look at the historic swing of the pendelum. Terrorism is the A-bomb of the poor. The West is facing a slave revolt. But the metronome has been going on for some time. The ancient Middle East was a military free for all and when the Persians invaded Greece the free for all went West. Then the West hit back with Alexander and the Romans.

Then the East responded with Christianity and Islam. Then the West hit back with the Crusades and the modern era of colonialism and imperialism. Now the East is hitting back again. Islam and China are challenging the West. But Islam and China are not friends. Yet the Western idea of Heroic Materialism has run its course....

It was simply never enough....

Now the battlefield is the entire planet. The new Global civilization will be determined by how this current conflict is resolved. Personally, I feel there can be no political or economic unity without some kind of spiritual unity. Ecumenical of course. This is the gist of my writings and this message becomes loud and clear in Two Short Stories.
